Kodaikanal is about 135 KM from Madurai airport and around 170 KM from Coimbatore airport. The nearest two railway stations are one at Kodairoad 80KM away and Palani Railway station which is at 64 KM from Kodaikanal. One could visit Kodaikanal throughout the year however the best months are from April to June and September to October. During these months tourists can witness the major festivals like Natyanjali-held on the auspicious day of MahaShivratri, Chithirai festival held to worship Lord Vishnu and Pongal when the entire South India celebrates new harvest. |
